To possess and to lose are two sides of the same coin.No matter which side lands up the other is still there waiting to be turned over.we possess or we lose by how we interpret and react to everything that happend.
擁有與失去就如同一塊銅板的兩面。到最後,無論哪一面朝上,另一面始終在哪裡等待翻身。是擁有或者失去,就看我們如何解釋與回應發生的一切!

I lost my camera four months ago when I was in Bangkok. It had an adventurous trip and came back to me last night.I am very thankful for all the help along the way .It is a dramatic story.Without people's kindness and help ,I would never have my camera back to me. It started at a hot summer day in Bangkok... I stayed one night in Bangkok before I met all the Yaima crews in Maldives. The elaborate handicraft ,wonderful cuisines, beautiful scenery and gentle people make Thailand a great place that I am never tired of visiting.
On that hot summer day,I found a book at random in a secondhand bookshop. It was written by my friend's father. It reminded me of good memories with my friend in Thailand and I thought it was a good sign of my sailing trip. I guessed that I was too excited to try the local cuisions and forgot I only had limited time in Bangkok. When I realized that, there were only two hours left before my departure.I grabbed all my stuff ,went on the street and called a taxi. "How fast can you drive to the airport?"I asked the taxi driver."It depends on how much you will pay.The more you pay,the faster I drive."said the young taxi driver.Oh!My!What a leech!I only had 500 BHT left and he took them all.
When I was on my way to the airport,I found that I left my Nikon D50 in the lobby of Lamphu House. On the one hand I couldn't go back to Bangkok,it would be late for my flight;and on the other I couldn't change the flight couse Captain Hiro ,Yori chan and Yuuki would wait for me in the airport of Male. What should I do?I decided to hire a taxi driver to take my camera from the guest house and send it to the airport.And...again...he charged over the regular price. It didn't matter at that moment. What I cared was to take my camera back.I waited for him till the last minute that I had to run to the gate with the Bangkok Airline staff. The taxi driver didn't make it.He said he was in a traffic jam.Oh!No!It was my fault. How careless and forgetful I was. When I arrived Male in the evening, the Bangkok airline staff was waiting for me .He told me that the taxi driver didn't send my camera to the counter of Bangkok Airline as he promised. He sent my camera to the police office instead."What! It is crazy. How can I get my camera back since I am in Maldives now."I said to the staff. We tried to call that taxi driver from Male and wrote down which police station he took my camera to.I walked out of the exit with heavy steps.Captain Hiro,Yori chan and Yuuki were waving their hands and called my name with warm smiles. At least I arrived Maldives and would start a wonderful journey.I was happy to see them again. They became very brown and fit."Rinko chan, welcome to Maldive. Is everything okay with you?"said Captain Hiro."Captain...I am ...in trouble.I lost my camera in Bangkok." I told them what I experienced a few hours ago."Rinko chan,I think that taxi driver is not a good man.Let's go have dinner first. You will see what to do.Don't worry."said Captain. During the stay in Maldives,I called the taxi driver and emailed people who would go to Bangkok. The taxi driver was very strange. He always gave you obscure and uncertain answer.I didn't know which police office he meant since all the websites of the police stations were in Thai language. One time,my friend Rob tried to contact the taxi driver in Bangkok. He promised to take my friend to the police station. When he was there, the taxi driver didn't answer his phone call and disappeared.
I was frustrated not only because the taxi driver broke his words but this camera was like one part of me ,it accompanied me to many places in the world and I had precious memories with it."Rinko chan, that taxi driver is not decent, you just tried what you could do.If there is any chance you can find it back,do it.Never give up!"said Captain Hiro. All the crews on the yacht knew that my camera went its crazy adventure in Bangkok and maybe it met some greedy people and would never come back to me. Never give up even though all the voices tried to tell you it was impossible.I wrote the manager of Lamphu House,Mr. Natee, a sincere letter and got reply ;meanwhile, my friend ,David, could go to Bangkok and he thought it might be fun to have a little trip for "RESCUING" a camera from the police station.
Here was what David experienced in Bangkok.A few days later,David and Mr. Natee met in Bangkok. They took bus and taxi then finally got that police station. It was in a remote area out of Bangkok about two hours drive. The taxi stopped in front of a ruined builiding. He couldn't believe it was a police station. They pushed the door and there was a man in the office. He said that the police who dealt with this camera case was not there. They should go to the other police station. The next day, they went to the second police station ,and still the police was not there. Then when they went to the third one,one police took them aside secretly and finally gave them my camera. At this moment,Mr. Natee's cellphone rang.It was I calling from Maldives. They made it!I got my camera back!I cheered excitedly.
David said that the police were not helpful and they made them drive for many hours in two different days.Without Mr. Natee, there was NO WAY my camera would have been returned.Thank you ,Mr.Natee!Thank you,David!Thank you for all the people who helped me all along the way.I would never forget this warm miracle in my life.
That night,I told all the Yaima crews the good news. We all cheered and had a little celebration on Yaima.Just like Captain Hiro always said"Never give up!"...despite all the voices telling you it was impossible!
